I love when I discover a new painting technique and the results are beautiful!
In this case, I was playing around with using white space to show the dimensions of the flowers.
I wanted to paint some thank you cards that really captured my favorite images.
I have always had an obsession with rainbow colors and flowers. So when I search in Pinterest for 'rainbow flowers', these gorgeous images pop up. I just knew I had to recreate them with my watercolors. I absolutely love how they came out and they are some of my favorite paintings!

I painted these cards on watercolor cold press 140 lb paper. Using professional grade watercolor paints for the flowers and skinny permanent marker for the words. Each card is 4x6 inches, blank inside and comes with protective cover and peel & seal white envelope. I wanted to create a rainbow with the flowers, so each flower type represented a color. I chose not to paint a background to keep the attention on the rainbow colors.

This is my favorite of the three! I love how the flowers are hanging down into rainbow colors...so beautiful!
These are original watercolor paintings, handwritten thank you cards. They will make anyone feel very special! Such a beautiful way to say thank you!
